Standard Slate House Signs
The standard signs are made from grey slate with a height of 100mm 4" or 150mm 6". The length and size of the letters depending on the wording used. Lots of fonts and letter colours to choose from.

Made to Measure Slate
We can cut the slate to any size. We can also include borders and simple images. If you have an idea of how you want your sign to look we will do our best to make it.

Coloured Slate Signs
As well as grey slate we do hold stocks of coloured slate. These include Brazilian Green and two metallic looking slates - Copper and Silver Shine. These certainly can be used to create an out of the ordinary slate sign.

Large Slate Signage
The largest slate we use is 600mm x 2000m. The thickness is between 20-30mm. We can cut this to any size required. We can use most fonts, simple images and borders as required. This thick slate is also often used for memorial plaques to lay on the ground in gardens.

Slate Memorial Plaques
Slate is a traditional material for memorial plaques. We can sandblast letters as small as 15mm if left unpainted. An interesting variation is to sandblast the background away to leave the lettering proud. Minimum letter size for this technique is 25mm.

House Number Signs
We can create interesting effects by blasting away the slate either around the number leaving it proud and unpainted, or as a border in relief leave the shape of your choice proud. We can then blast a number into the shape. We also make plain numbers.

Granite Nameplates
We pride ourselves in being able to provide granite, nameplates which are unique. Using quality materials and special paints you can be assured of having a granite sign that will take pride place outside your home.

Marble Plaques
Marble is actually metamorphosed limestone. It is a very strong material with many different colours and different sizes of crystal. It is 10-12 mm thick. We have three polished marbles - a black, a brown and a gold, plus two more natural smooth honed - a white and a cream .

Quartzite
Quartzite is metamorphosed sandstone with a smooth surface.It is ideal for an unusual modern house sign. Quartz-based engineered stone provides a scratch-resistant, durable and low maintenance surface. All colours are bold with an innovative sparkle.

Stone Effect Corian
This is not real stone but it looks like stone! It is made from stone-dust and resin. It feels heavy and cold just like stone. It is however stronger and is much more consistent - no faults or cracks. A wonderful modern material ideal for maintenance free house signs.
