Cherry is a lovely timber and often difficult to obtain. It reddens when exposed to sunlight and the colour improves with age.
It has a fine, straight, close grain which resists warping and shrinking. However it is a timber which does need to be well maintained.

Your Choices
Sizes - Our standard sizes are 100mm/ 4" high and 150mm/6" high. On the 150mm you can have one or two lines of text.
Fonts -
We can use most common fonts to be found on a PC, along with a wide selection of more unusual ones. - Click here to see examples
Letter Colours - Black, brown, red, purple, white, bright blue, navy blue and green
Borders - Line border with indented or square corners
Simple Shaping - Arrow Shape, Rounded Corners, Scalloped Corners
Finish - We normally finish with three coats of Danish Oil but will varnished if preferred. To maintain an oiled sign you will need to rub on another coat of oil at least 3 times a year. In exposed situations it may need extra coats. It is easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes, but makes a huge difference to the life of a sign
Holes - We can drill holes in the sign for you - 2 for a sign 100mm high, 4 for larger signs. Alternatively you could use one of the many adhesives on the market. We have found CT1 or Power Grad n Bond to be very effective. If you can't find locally we can supply . (lasts for up to a year in the tube for other fixing jobs) - UK delivery only.
